The Belgian director of the Liege Confucius Institute Jean-Jacques Cuvelier welcomed the audience by highlighting the importance of cultural exchange, adding that music can offer the perfect link to bridge the cultural gap between Belgium and China.

The concert featured performances by renowned Belgian pianist and composer Jean-Francois Maljean, internationally acclaimed soprano Li Min, and Belgian saxophonist Robert Jeanne. The trio performed numerous classics from both Chinese and Western repertoires. Mr. Jean-Francois Maljean, in particular, performed several classical Chinese pieces, demonstrating a profound understanding of Chinese music through his skillful performances. Together, they presented a montage of Chinese and Western music, including the famous Chinese song "The Moon Represents My Heart," which resonated deeply with the audience.
