Residents in central China's Qinyang City have staged a traditional dragon dance performance to usher in the Lantern Festival. The festival falls on February 24 this year. The dragon used in the performance is more than 20 meters in length and has a bamboo skeleton. It is made up of 24 sections, representing the 24 solar terms of the traditional Chinese calendar. The dragon dance conveyed wishes for good weather and a bountiful harvest for this year.
