At least two people were killed on Wednesday in an Israeli missile attack on a residential area in Damascus, Syrian state media reported.

The neighborhood in the Kafr Sousa district hosts residential buildings, schools and Iranian cultural centers, and it lies near a large, heavily guarded complex used by security agencies.

Al-Mayadeen reported, citing local sources, that this attack was carried out with four missiles.

The district was targeted in an Israeli attack in February 2023 that killed Iranian military experts.

Local media said one of the people killed was Iranian.
