Authorities said improper operation by the crew was the cause of a deadly maritime accident in the southern city of Guangzhou, where a container ship rammed into a bridge on a river early Thursday morning. An empty minibus, a truck, and an electric motorcycle fell onto the cabin, and two small trucks plunged into the water. Five people were confirmed killed in the incident.
