China launches new communication technology experiment satellite

China launched a Long March-5 carrier rocket on Friday evening to deploy an experimental satellite into space, from the Wenchang Satellite Launch Center in Hainan Province. The Communication Technology Experimental No.11 satellite successfully entered its predetermined orbit and the launch mission was a complete success. The satellite is mainly used for multi-band, high-speed satellite communication technology verification. The mission also marks the 509th flight of the Long March series of carrier rockets.
