Folk art and activities bustle with visitors

Exhilarating traditional performances have been going on for two weeks in the lead up to this weekend's Lantern Festival at a local cultural fair north China's Hebei Province, captivating people with their prowess and close interactions with performers and inheritors.

Recognized as forms of intangible cultural heritage at either provincial-level or country-level, these cultural displays range from the Tongliang Dragon Dance, the embroidery of the Qiang ethnic group, to paper cutting, sugar painting and shadow puppetry.
