President of the Global Initiative to End Wildlife Crime talks about his UNEA-6 expectations

02:25

The UN Environmental Assembly will hold its sixth session in Nairobi from February 26 to March 1 on how multilateralism can help during a global environmental crisis. CGTN anchor Li Dongning talked to John E. Scanlon, former secretary general of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora, about his expectations. Scanlon proposes creating a definitive document on the state of the planet and then evaluating the progress made under multilateral environmental agreements to see what more can be done.
