Junior doctors in England went on strike on February 24 for the 10th time since March 2023 over continued pay disputes with the government.
The five-day walkout has put mounting pressure on an already overstretched medical system, and more than 1.3 million appointments and operations have already been canceled or rescheduled since the industrial action began. There are several reasons behind the incessant labor strikes in the National Health Service (NHS), with the most prominent being that Britain stands at the forefront of providing military and financial aid to Ukraine. This has made it more difficult to increase the welfares for ordinary people, resulting in pretty high occurrence of industrial disputes and strikes in the country.
