China's Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao on Monday met with U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai on the sidelines of the WTO's 13th Ministerial Conference in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Chinese Commerce Ministry said in a statement.

The two sides had "professional and in-depth" exchanges on jointly promoting practical outcomes of the 13th Ministerial Conference, as well as on bilateral and multilateral economic and trade issues of mutual concern.

Wang also expressed China's grave concerns over the U.S. tariffs on China and Taiwan-related issues in the economic and trade fields, the statement added.
