Less than an hour's drive from the capital Beijing, the Xiong'an New Area is seen as China's "city of the future", with innovation and smart facilities. Professor Yang Hangjun, associate dean at the School of International Trade and Economics at the University of International Business and Economics in China, says that developing high-tech industries and modern service sectors attract foreign investors to Xiong'an New Area.
