Lebanon's Hezbollah fired a volley rockets at an Israeli military base in retaliation for deadly Israeli strikes on Lebanon's east.

"In response to the Zionist aggression near the city of Baalbek," Hezbollah fighters targeted the base in the occupied Golan Heights "with 60 Katyusha rockets", the group said in a statement.

Earlier on Monday, Israeli strikes targeted several areas in the Baalbek region in eastern Lebanon and the border region in southern Lebanon. Lebanese military and medical sources later said as a result two Hezbollah members were killed and five civilians were injured.
