Deep Sea No. 1 station advances integration with new control system

01:03

China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) is advancing the integration of the Deep Sea No. 1 energy station. The aim is to establish the station as the control hub for China's largest deep-water gas field cluster, with the capacity to control 23 deep-water gas wells and two sets of underwater production systems. Deep Sea No. 1 is China's first independently-developed ultra-deep-water gas field. CNOOC has pioneered a new development model by utilizing the existing facilities in the gas field to efficiently develop the phase II project. This model includes a subsea production system, a shallow water jacket processing platform and a remote-control system for a deep-water semi-submersible platform.
