The government of New Zealand on Thursday announced the designation of Hamas in its entirety as a terrorist entity, according to a statement. 

New Zealand has designated the military wing of Hamas as a terrorist entity since 2010. "But what happened on October 7 reinforces we can no longer distinguish between the military and political wings of Hamas. The organization as a whole bears responsibility for these horrific terrorist attacks," the country's Foreign Minister Winston Peters said.
