Nature never fails to surprise mankind with its exquisite beauty. Tucked away in a remote part of Ganquan County, northwest China's Shaanxi Province, Ganquan Grand Canyon is a stunning gift from nature, formed by the erosion of local Danxia sandstone over a period of some 100 million years. Rays of sunlight are cast into the canyon through fissures that transform the rock surfaces into different hues after being refracted between the two sides of the canyon wall, creating a vivid and spectacular natural landscape.
