The Shenzhou-17 crew members, currently on board China's orbiting space station, will conduct their second extravehicular activity within the next few days, according to the China Manned Space Agency.
Since the successful completion of the first extravehicular activity on December 21, 2023, the crew has sequentially completed tasks such as robotic arm operation training in orbit, experiment cabinets debugging, and preparations for the second extravehicular activity.
Projects in space life sciences and human research, space microgravity physics, space astronomy and Earth sciences, space new technologies and applications, and other space science experiments are steadily progressing.
Currently, the Shenzhou-17 crew is in good condition, the space station combination is running stably, and conditions for conducting extravehicular activities are in place.
