China strongly condemns the recent Israeli attack on civilians, which killed at least 112 Palestinians and wounded 760 others, in the Gaza Strip, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman on Friday.
Mao Ning, the spokeswoman, said at a regular press briefing in Beijing that China calls for an immediate ceasefire in the besieged enclave and concrete efforts to protect civilians.
