The world's first ever jet suit race was held on Wednesday in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), with eight participants from eight countries firing up their engines over the area between Dubai Harbor and Skydive Dubai. Contestants carried 35 kilograms of fuel in their suits, each hand grasping a 6.5 kg jet turbine. Despite some minor collisions occurred during the race, these pilots managed to demonstrate how stable and controllable these jet suits could be.
