"For this album, I'd like to focus more on the French repertoire," shares Lang Lang. "Saint-Saëns is a very unique composer. He really knows how to use the full strength of instruments. 'Carnival of the Animals' is a perfect piece, and Gina loves this piece also. It's a great family project. For many people, even [those] who don't know about classical music, [they have probably] heard about this melody."

With an aim to guide children into classical music appreciation, the album opens with the nostalgic favorite, "Carnival of the Animals." The epic composition consisting of 14 movements was composed by Saint-Saëns in 1886. The piece was published posthumously in 1921, quickly becoming a favorite among concertgoers.

The album also features Saint-Saëns's "Piano Concerto No. 2," which Lang Lang describes as a "magnificent yet underrated Romanticism masterpiece," and shines a spotlight on the works of five female French composers, including Lily Boulanger and Mélanie Bonis.

For Gina Alice, the collaboration marked a personal milestone. She comments, "Practicing and recording this work together with Lang Lang felt like communicating on another dimension. I'm truly grateful for this opportunity."

"Saint-Saëns" is a collection that seamlessly blends the grace of classical music with technical prowess and emotional depth. With a virtuosity that transcends borders, Lang Lang takes the audience on an enchanting journey through the timeless compositions of French composers in his latest album.
