Following the expiration of the government's deadline for doctors to return to work, South Korean doctors have organized a large-scale rally to protest against the government's proposal to expand medical school admissions. This month, thousands of young doctors have ceased working in major hospitals, resulting in the cancellation of surgeries and treatments and placing strain on emergency departments.
