China's Quan Hongchan, Chen Yuxi win 5th consecutive diving World Cup title in Montreal

China won all four gold medals on offer on Saturday at the Montreal leg of the diving World Cup, in addition to two bronzes.  

In the men's synchronized 3m springboard, Long Daoyi and Wang Zongyuan won the title with a total of 464.79 points, followed by British and Mexican duos.

In the women's synchronized 10m platform, China's teenage diving prodigies Quan Hongchan and teammate Chen Yuxi won their fifth consecutive World Cup title in this event with a score of 368.82 points, followed by divers from the UK and Mexico.  

In the women's 3m springboard, Chen Yiwen topped the podium with 395.60 points, with fellow team Chang Yani also taking the podium in third place. 

China also achieved a 1-3 finish in the men's 10m platform, with Yang Hao winning with 533.00 points and Lian Junjie finishing third.

The Montreal leg, which is the opener of the 3-leg 2024 World Cup series, offers four medals on Sunday, including the women's synchronized 3m springboard, men's synchronized 10m platform, men's 3m springboard, and women's 10m platform.

The next leg will take place in Berlin, Germany from March 21 to 24, with the season finale, known as the Super Final, to be staged in Xi'an, northwest China's Shaanxi Province from April 19 to 21.
