As a renowned cultural tradition in the historic town of Changle in Hunan Province, the Changle Taige performances, which were listed as a state-level intangible cultural heritage in 2011, showcase captivating folk tales and incorporate a diverse array of art forms such as waist drums, stilt walking, and lion and dragon dances. One of the particularly captivating aspects of these performances involves boys and girls adorned in costumes standing on top elevated wooden platforms, while others carry poles as they all parade through the streets, creating a visually striking spectacle.
