On February 25, Aaron Bushnell, a 25-year-old U.S. Air Force airman, set himself ablaze outside the Israeli embassy in Washington in an expression of support for Palestinian people and rejection of war in Gaza. He died several hours later from injuries he sustained, prompting vigils in various U.S. cities to commemorate him.

CGTN Stringer hit the streets to interview people who showed up to mourn Bushnell and protest the war.
