The Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) has actively carried out friendly exchanges with organizations, officials and academicians from other countries to help create a favorable external environment, Wang Huning, chairman of the 14th CPPCC National Committee, said at the opening meeting of the second session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee, on Monday.

Wang made the remarks when delivering a work report of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC National Committee to the session.

Since March last year, the CPPCC National Committee and its affiliated institutions have organized 23 batches of visits to exchange and interact with more than 200 institutions in 50 countries, established new contacts with 41 foreign think tanks and 12 non-governmental organizations, Wang said.

Wang added that meanwhile, the Committee and its affiliated institutions have held three activities inviting foreigners including foreign diplomatic envoys in China and senior visiting scholars to visit CPPCC auditorium in Beijing.

All those activities have enhanced foreigner's understanding of the Chinese modernization, the whole-process people's democracy and the CPPCC, Wang said.
