Wang Huning, chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, stressed the imperative role of the united front in promoting cohesion among diverse facets of Chinese society, at the opening meeting of the second session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee on Monday.

"We integrate uniformity and diversities to expand the common ground and draw the largest concentric circles," said Wang while delivering a work report of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC National Committee to the session.
