China's Counter-Espionage Law seeks to create favorable climate for foreign investors

The revised Counter-Espionage Law, which came into effect on July 1, 2023, plays a crucial role in safeguarding national security and is part of a comprehensive strategy to bolster the confidence and security of foreign businesses and individuals in China, said Lou Qinjian, a spokesperson for the second session of the 14th National People's Congress, on Monday.

The National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature, held a press conference on Monday, one day ahead of the opening of its annual session.
