With the mutual visa-exemption agreement between China and Thailand officially taking effect on March 1, both countries are getting even closer. Chinese tourists will enjoy hospitality, world-famous Thai food and tourist attractions, and above all things, Thailand's high-speed rail network, a flagship Belt and Road Initiative project between the two countries. What makes Thailand attractive to tourists and businesses alike? In this edition of Leaders Talk, CMG's Zou Yun sat down with Srettha Thavisin, prime minister of Thailand, to discuss his country's soft power in terms of culture, sports, gastronomy and leisure, but also Thailand's unique advantages as a business and manufacturing regional hub. Srettha also says that Thailand has been successfully addressing personal safety concerns and cross border crime. Talking about President Xi Jinping's governance of China, he remarks that peace and common prosperity are his top priorities and fully supports his global initiatives.
