Over the past 30 years, local people in Dali, southwest China's Yunnan Province, have worked tirelessly to transform Erhai Lake's waters from murky to crystal clear. Now, with the thriving tourism, they worry the lake may face fresh challenges. He Licheng, a Dali resident, wonders how the city can balance environmental protection with tourism and agriculture to ensure a sustainable future for Erhai Lake.
