China's Fengyun-4B (FY-4B) meteorological satellite on Tuesday began to provide observation data and application services to global users, according to the National Satellite Meteorological Center. Following nearly a month of drift and trial operation, the FY-4B will continue to offer data products and services to 129 countries and regions across the world. Compared with the FY-4A it took over, the new satellite features a higher spatial and temporal resolution and provides more accurate observation data.
