The development of AI requires boosting storage capacity in tandem with computing power to achieve faster operations and efficient large model computing, said Feng Dan, a deputy to the 14th National People's Congress and dean of the School of Computer Science and Technology, Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
"An intelligent computing center must have a balance of computing power as well as the storage capacity if it is to support the operation of AI algorithms," Feng told CGTN reporter Zhao Chenchen in an interview.
She said that the researchers are currently seeking more suitable next-generation storage media to achieve efficient "in-memory computing."
