Academic: China's lastest trade data reflects diversification and resilience

China's foreign trade data for the first two months of 2024 showed the diversification and resilience of its foreign trade, and underscored the country's strong global connections and ability to navigate geopolitical uncertainties, according to Wang Yaojing, assistant professor of economics at Peking University. She cited a 15.8 percent growth in auto exports and a 9 percent increase in trade with Belt and Road Initiative partner countries compared with the same period last year.
