As the Two Sessions continues, CGTN has launched an "Ask China Expats" campaign, encouraging questions about China from all around the world. In this video, Fernando Munoz Bernal, a Colombian vlogger who has lived in China for 23 years, answers a Kenyan journalist's question about life in China. Fernando described his personal experience in China from several perspectives. In terms of transportation in China, he believes that the 45,000 kilometers of high-speed rail lines have provided incredible opportunities for local people. There may be some individual lines that are not profitable, but overall the economy has grown as a result of having these tracks, and this is the difference between China and the West: here they built an unprofitable railway line to benefit the people who live along it rather than generate profits for the people who build or operate it, reflecting China's people-centered development philosophy.
