On International Women's Day, we celebrate figures like Chen Sa, who works as a zookeeper at the Qinling Giant Panda Research Center in northwest China's Shaanxi Province, where she acts as a "nanny" for giant panda cubs.
Faced with newborn giant panda cubs – weighing only a little over 100 grams, and with tightly closed eyes and reddish-pink bodies – Chen experiences a mix of excitement and nervousness. Despite seemingly simple tasks like disinfecting the environment, preparing food, feeding, and cleaning up after the cubs, it requires a strong sense of responsibility, as well as trust and understanding built through prolonged interaction between human and animals.
