China leads in the fields of brain-computer interface chip development, and infrared thermal imaging and detection, said Huang Li, a deputy to the 14th National People's Congress (NPC) and chairman of Wuhan Guide Infrared Co., Ltd., at the Deputies' Corridor in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Friday.
Huang said that brain-computer interface chips could enable many new medical applications, including controlling prosthesis through human thoughts and treating nervous system diseases such as epilepsy, Alzheimer's disease, depression, and Parkinson's disease.
