"Developing new quality productive forces does not mean neglecting or abandoning traditional industries," said Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday when visiting members attending the second session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).
"We must coordinate the advancement of sci-tech and industrial innovation, strengthen the transformation and application of scientific and technological achievements, and promote the upgrading of traditional industries," he said.
