iFLYTEK VP: Efficient algorithms can make up for China's computing power shortage

Fang Ming, vice president of iFLYTEK, says highly efficient algorithms can largely compensate for a shortage in computing power. 

China may have a gap in computing power compared with the U.S., but efficient algorithms and massive data resources can help, according to Fang. 

He says he is "very confident" in China's AI advancement.
