A spokesperson of China's Foreign Ministry has joined Chinese netizens to express deep condolences for Japanese manga artist Akira Toriyama, who died on March 1 at the age of 68 due to acute subdural hematoma.

Mao Ning stated that his works, such as "Dragon Ball" and "Dr. Slump," are quite popular in China, and expressed the hope of more people with vision in Japan making active contributions to the cultural exchanges and friendship between China and Japan.
