With the arrival of spring, folk artists in Bijie, southwest China's Guizhou Province, have created colorful paintings. They use "spring" as an element to paint colorful artworks.

The city of Bijie was listed as a home of Chinese folk culture and art in 2008, renowned for paintings by farmers.

Farmer paintings have a long history in China. In recent years, artists have integrated their paintings with various local elements such as paper cutting and dyeing to vitalize the traditional art. Meanwhile, innovation and research centers and workshops have been established to promote inheritance.
