"Being wealthy as a village doesn't count as true wealth; only through common prosperity can we truly strive for a brighter future," said Wang Chuanxi, Party secretary of Daicun Village in Lanling County of Shandong Province, on Sunday at the Members' Corridor ahead of the closing meeting of the second session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
Over the years, Daicun Village has joined hands with 11 surrounding villages to boost the integrated development of agriculture, commercial logistics, leisure tourism and the living environment, driving over 20,000 farmers to common prosperity.
