The U.S. House is set to vote on a bill that would ban TikTok in the country as early as next week, and the White House says President Joe Biden is prepared to sign it. Andy Mok, senior research fellow at the Center for China and Globalization, says it will be problematic to the U.S. He says the bill reflects U.S.'s paranoia toward China, and would isolate the U.S. and make it a technological backwater if it passes.
