The Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the country's top political advisory body, will focus on key tasks and advance Chinese modernization by providing high-quality advice, said Wang Huning, chairman of the 14th CPPCC National Committee, on Sunday.
Wang made the remarks when delivering a speech at the closing meeting of the second session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Xi Jinping and other Chinese leaders attended the meeting.
The CPPCC should closely align with the major decisions of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and the strategic needs of the nation, address significant practical issues in development through consultation and deliberation, and actively contribute its wisdom and suggestions, Wang said.
It should delve into research and frontline experiences to make its suggestions more targeted and operable, he added.
Wang also urged efforts to mobilize all positive factors that can be mobilized and unite all forces that can be united, strengthen ideological and political guidance, and effectively tell stories about how Chinese modernization benefits the Chinese people and promotes the modernization of other countries.
