China's proposal to accelerate innovation with new quality productive forces has been met with positive reactions from experts and scholars around the world.
The development of new quality productive forces is a key part of China's economic development strategy that emphasizes the role of science and technology in driving growth and nurturing the development of strategic emerging industries.
Atif Kubursi, professor at McMaster University in Canada, said that China's investment in knowledge and new technology is giving the country a "great impetus" and is "very good for the world economy."
China's emphasis on driving economic growth through digitalization and new technology solutions makes the efficiency opportunity "absolutely enormous," said Chris Southworth, secretary general of the International Chamber of Commerce UK.
China has entered into a new stage of development based on new quality productive forces which will help the country improve the quality of its workforce, achieve high-quality development and increase per capita income, according to Rodolfo Sanz, Venezuelan lawmaker and former industry minister.
Blade Nzimande, South Africa's minister of higher education, science and technology, said that he is hopeful cooperation between China and South Africa in science and technology will be taken to higher levels.
The development of new quality productive forces is expected to further boost China's economic growth and contribute to the global economy.
China's foreign trade expanded 8.7 percent year on year in the first two months of 2024, exceeding market forecasts by a large margin. In terms of exports, in the first two months of this year, electronics accounted for nearly 60 percent of exports, including automatic data processing equipment, integrated circuits and automobiles.
