In the lead-up to the previous G20 summit, held in 2023, there was a great deal of anticipation and significant stakes at play. As the host nation, India faced formidable challenges in bridging divisions among member countries and seeking consensus on critical issues such as climate change and debt relief. Finding ways to overcome their differences and take decisive action on shared global priorities was a central focus for G20 leaders. In a recent discussion with CGTN's Guan Xin, experts provided insights on the G20 Summit. The panel included Sourabh Gupta, resident senior fellow at the Institute for China-America Studies; Nelson Wong, vice chairman & president of Shanghai Centre for RimPac Strategic and International Studies; Yose Rizal Damuri, executive director of the Center for Strategic and International Studies; and John Ross, senior fellow of the Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies at Renmin University. During the discussion, they explored possibilities for China's collaboration with other countries to promote economic growth.
