The protection of intellectual property (IP) rights must be embraced when Jingdezhen's porcelain industry goes global, said Yu Jihua, a deputy to the 14th National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature, on Monday.
"I shared my views of setting up the porcelain IP protection center in Jingdezhen with the relevant authorities when I was serving as a NPC deputy in 2020. The center was established in 2021," Yu said.
Yu, also head of Jingdezhen Ceramic Artists Association, made the remarks when NPC deputies took questions from media at this year's third Deputies' Corridor before the closing meeting.
