Seeds of rare plants return from space to sow hope at the Three Gorges

03:21

March 12 is China's Arbor Day! In the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, CGTN's Liang Si joined volunteers in planting a batch of rare plants on a small island in the Three Gorges area. These plants include Myricaria laxiflora and Plantago fengdouensis, all of which were artificially propagated by the Yangtze River Biodiversity Research Center. Some of the Plantago fengdouensis plants are returning to the wild for the first time after traveling to space. Watch the video, and let's hope they can thrive in the wild and add a touch of green to the Yangtze River ecosystem.
