Last year's online sensation, the Village Super League, or "Cun Chao," will enter its final stages this weekend. The Chinese grassroots football competition in Rongjiang County, southwest China's Guizhou Province, showcased rich ethnic diversity through performances and had more than 58 billion views online last year.

The VSL 2024 season kicked off on January 6. A total of 1,800 football enthusiasts from 62 teams are divided into 10 groups. The last 20 teams have been decided, with the league finals to be kicked off on Saturday.
