Chinese people are interested in outbound travel, and the Nordic countries have become popular destinations among Chinese tourists today. In this exclusive interview, we discussed the travel between China and the Nordic countries with Ulla Nurmenniemi, executive director of FinnCham Beijing, and Chen Lei, CEO of Nordic Oriental OY.
Founded in 2001, Nordic Oriental OY is the only tour company of FinnCham which covers the route between China, Nordic countries and the Baltic Sea. Chen said, "China has a very deep connection with Finland." "Finland is the most close EU country to China," Chen noted, "a flight from Beijing to Helsinki just needs 7.5 hours." Besides the travel connection, Ulla said that there is an economic connection - for example in the e-car field - and that "Chinese people will win the car market in Europe."
