On March 12, around 19,000 Lufthansa cabin crew members began a strike in the German cities of Frankfurt and Munich, leading to the cancellation of more than 1,000 flights. The strike is expected to affect the travel plans of 120,000 passengers. The union organized the strike primarily to exert pressure on the airline company to increase wages and provide inflation compensation for employees.
