Israeli army says six aid trucks entered northern Gaza

00:24

The Israeli army said they coordinated the delivery of six humanitarian aid trucks into northern Gaza on the evening of March 12. They added that it was part of a pilot program to determine whether additional food can be brought into the area. Aid groups have struggled to supply aid to the isolated area for months, although some private convoys have managed to deliver food. Earlier, the United Nations said the World Food Program (WFP) delivered food into northern Gaza on March 12 for the first time since February 20. A quarter of Gaza's population is starving, according to the UN.
