During the Vietnam War, the U.S. military bombed neighboring Laos. Officially, America was never at war with this Southeast Asian country, but it dropped more than 2.5 million tonnes of bombs on it. That is more than the total number of bombs the U.S. military dropped on Germany and Japan during World War II.
