A suspected gas explosion took place at a restaurant in Yanjiao, a town in Beijing's neighboring Sanhe City in north China's Hebei Province, on Wednesday. Video clips circulated on social media showed a powerful explosion rocking a building by a street. Damaged cars and thick black plumes could be seen rising above the area. At least one person died and 22 others were injured in the blast.
